This glass slide has been constructed on the side of a skyscraper in Los Angeles:

The slide sits a mere 1,000 feet above the ground, on the 69th and 70th floors of the US Bank Tower.
According to Buzzfeed, the only thing separating you from falling to your death is a 1.25-inch plate of glass. Gulp.
Despite this, people are going for it.
